Development of Gaudi and SynapseAI, which is optimized for Gaudi AI Training, began many years prior to the acquisition by Intel. As a result, Gaudi is not yet supported by oneAPI. SynapseAI is the enabled software suite for Gaudi, given time-to-market considerations. Over time, it is Intel’s intent for oneAPI to support all hardware, including Habana’s processors. At present, there are no plans to support OpenVINO.
